The way you see the world shapes the world you see.
What’s the first word that comes to mind when you think of travel? For me, if there was a word in the English language that summarized “new experiences, new people, new memories”, it would be that. Given the constraint of the English language, I’ll go with adventure.
I’d love to hear yours! Let’s talk about it.
However, when I get within 72 hours of my departure, that word quickly turns to stress.
Anxiety sets in—am I going to get through TSA in time? Is my bag going to fit in the overhead? Am I going to sit next to a stinky person??? Oh, the horror.

I’ve had the privilege of traveling quite frequently both personally and professionally. Each place I visit is like stepping into a completely different world in some ways. While there are always similarities, the differences stand out more apparently.
The human soul craves exploration. For some folks it’s physical, some it’s mental or emotional. Nonetheless, jumping into the unknown has an electricity to it that satisfies a primordial desire of our being.
Immersing yourself in the differences and unknown of new places is the single best way to build perspective.
Perspective is everything.
It has the ability to radically change the world around you. Like a veil being lifted to truths that were otherwise hidden from you.
It’s funny how the more places you go, the more you realize how much you’ve been missing. Travel doesn’t just show you new places—it changes how you see the places you’ve always known.
So, travel more. Shape your world.
Cheers from the Denver Airport—where the walks are endless but the people watching is top-tier.
