Joy slips into our days quietly.
A laugh between errands,
the warmth of sunlight on your back,
the hush of evening when the world finally exhales.
They come,
then scatter,
grains of sand running through our hands.
We are told: Seek, and you will find.
But our first instinct is protest,
like children groaning at chores:
“Do I have to?”
Yes.
You do.
Because noticing takes effort.
It takes slowing down when everything screams hurry.
It takes presence when distraction is easier.
It takes choosing discomfort over autopilot.
But the best things in life
have always asked something of us.
And this is no different.
So seek joy.
Not because it is easy,
but because it is worth it.
Joy is too precious to overlook. Join me in noticing it, seeking it and choosing it!
